HEMEROCALLIS – HUMANUS
The Hemerocallis is also known as the ‘daylily’. A flower that lives for one day only… Humanus is us… Humans. And we most likely live longer than just one day. Completely different but both experience life and we both are going to die. “And the fact that we as humans are going to die makes us the lucky ones because most people are never going to be born. The potential people who could have been here in our place but who will never see the light of day outnumber the sand grains of Sahara…. We the privileged few, who won the lottery of birth against all odds. How dare we whine at our inevitable return tot hat prior state from which the vast majority have never stirred?” (-Richard Dawkins) Size is 43 x 33 cm
