MAHA KALI, DARK MOTHER DANCE FOR ME

Influenced by the great song from Dissection this is my interpretation of Kali, the goddess of death, destruction and time yet also for rebirthing and feminist power. Acrylic on wood panel in a really cool, fitting frame. Size is 83 x 63 cm.

NORWEGIAN BLACK METAL-THE TRIPLE GODDESS Pt. II

I love these images of dark and misty woods. They are mysterious and to me, also show the greatness of nature. I added a triple moon that represents the divine feminine. Size is 76 x 60 cm. 

BLASHYRKH MIGHTY RAVENDARK VII

Ravens are incredible! Not many know that they're among the most intelligent birds on the planet. And they're black... I like birds and ravens are my favorite ones. Acrylic on canvas. Size 49 x 39 cm.

BLACKENED FEATHERS FALLING DOWN.... WEAR YOUR INDEPENDENCE LIKE A CROWN! (Pt. IV)

"For Independence and Freewill!' The black feathers symbolizing the falling of Lucifer from the heavens, Said to be cast out... I like to think he choose freewill! Acrylics on wood panel in a beautiful antique frame. Size is 88 x 68 cm. 

BABY BAPHOMET II

Small baby goats are awesome. Even Baphomet used to be one! Acrylics on wood panel. Size is 40 x 35 cm. 

FANTOFTS FIRE

The (in)famous Fanoft Stave Church on fire. The fire that started the controversy (and popularity) from the Norwegian Black Metal scene. A christian church build on sacred ground from ancient Norwegian religions... Who was wrong? Acrylics on a wooden panel in a vintage, restored. frame. Size is 72 x 58 cm. 

MOUNTAINS CRAVE

Influenced by the beautiful same titled song from Anna Von Hauswolff. Besides the background I made this entire painting with a palette knife giving it a really rough structure. I re-used a very old painting on linnen including the small frame and painted it completely over. Everything is done in acrylics. Size is 71 x 51 cm. 

THE YEAR OF THE WOLF

All the world smelled good. In the snow and the ice. All the rest was blood. In the time of the tribe we took a thousand lives. When I ran with the wolves. And the hunting was good. Acrylic on wood. 58 x 39 cm. 

DE BOKKENRIJDERS

It's been a few years since I made the series on old Dutch myths and legends and I'd figure to get back to it. Maybe one of the most famous ones is the one about De Bokkenrijders. A notorious gang of robbers and criminals said to flying through the air on goats... Acrylics on canvas in a vintage restored framed with a silver edge that fits the painting. Size is 60 x 50 cm. 

THE NIGHT OF THE VAMPIRE

A vampire bat! How many people are scared shitless for these lovely little creatures? They DO drink blood... It comes in an over -the-top frame that I re-painted and I think it looks awesome with the color-scheme of the painting. Acrylics on wood. Size is 84 x 58 cm. 

NORWEGIAN BLACK METAL Pt. XXII
A majestic Norwegian mountain. I used different techniques on this one. All done in acrylics. doesn't come with a frame but the canvas is painted on the sides as well so it doesn't necessarely need one. Size is 50 x 40 cm.

OPEN THE GATES

I got my hands on this insane Indonesian mirror frame from the fifties (not yet antque but old!) and I immediately wanted to change it into something special. So... Open the gates! The painting is heavily influenced by the artwork from Watain's Lwless Darkness album. It's a really big piece with a size of 90 x 90 cm (with the 'gates' open).

Something a little different! I was asked to paint a guitar with, what else,a burning church! And I finished it what a mirror like high gloss varnish.

TWILIGHT FLIGHT
I painted this on international Bat Night (actually AT night on August 27 / 28 in 2020. The animals intrigue me and I think they're absolutely beautiful. Oil on canvas with a semi gloss varnish in a stylish matte black frame that I restored but kept the golden line on the inside. Size is 80 x 70 cm. 

TWIN TEMPLE

One of my 'biggest' commissions sofar. I was asked to make a painting to be used by Twin Temple (check them out!) for a new backdrop. The painting was blown up to 10 x 6 meter! Original painting is approx 80 x 50 cm.

MURDER ONE - TRIBUTE TO LEMMY

I made this for the Official Lemmy Kilmister Memorial in The Netherlands. The original painting is sold but I still have a few framed art prints left. Size is 30 x 20 cm. Signed and numbered.

NOT MY FAULT

I wanted to capture the intensity of a bat. While being fairly harmless animals a lof of people are scared by them. And I kinda wanted to give them something to be afraid of indeed. Acrylic  an Oil on a wood panel. Size is 70 x 40 cm.

I started this whole adventure in painting with skateboards and at one point I simply had to! from one of the most iconic recordcovers of all time KISS ALIVE II, I made four seperate boards. All acrylic, all on professional skateboard decks.
